Similarities Between Us.

  1. Hey, Ms. Tucker!

Wow I'm really impressed, I might add about your wonderful resume! I noticed about when you were young how you loved entertaining, which reminds of when I was young because, I didn't want to entertain, at first my parents bought me a piano too, and I didn't want to play until later in my life. And I gave up piano. It wasn't until later in my life I realized I loved performing. And I started taking up piano again.

Like you when I started performing, a lot people told me I was, when I would go see show’s of my idols, which I then met. They helped me too with my work. And mentoring like that helped sky rocket my career, like yours.

I’d have to say the biggest similarity we have is the genre of music, we both studied and performing. Both of us were born and living in a time where, new types of styles were up and coming and being invented. We are pioneers of our time, as I progressed throughout my career, my style formed into swing and big band. I think you should check out my Music I’d think you’d like it a lot! My biggest hit even had the word swing in it, “It Don’t mean a thing (If it ain’t got that swing).”

I also got my start in New York too. At first I felt unwanted too. Funny story actually, when I started playing professionally, I had ventured to New York and tried making my start but it just wasn’t my time yet. My band and I traveled back home. When we decided to give New York another shot at the Hollywood Club, where I got the fame bug.

Once again, I enjoyed learning about you! Maybe one day we can get together for a swing set, or a simple duet. It would be a thrill to work with you!

  2. I applaud you first interest being in music, my dear. I am a conductor myself, and it's just what we need to get going. Music is life, it brings the joy out of everything. We both share a passion, and a love.

Also, I believe you started in Russia? It's a shame we never met. Thats where I started too. My parents weren't too supportive of my musical interest, so I started out in law school. I always wonder...what good is that? I dropped out of that in pursuit of my dream. We both experienced that, and it's not easy...must I say.

  3. I too had to make the difficult personal decision to leave my family to pursue my career. Fortunately, I did not have any children that I had to give up, but I did have a little brother that I was very close to and missed him very much. Oh, the sacrifices we had to make to reach our dreams!
